To my Dearest Readers,
At this time, as I fervently continue to compose Book Two, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you from the very depths of my heart for your support. Because of your support, Book One has now gone in to its second printing. I took advantage of this occasion and together with my editor, Judy Day Stimple, made further emendations and revised and ameliorated the punctuation to adhere to the modern fiction writing style. We have always been striving to make the best screed tome for your reading enjoyment.
The second printing of Book One is pressed with a large font, as opposed to the extra large font, which reduced the total number of pages from 565 to 447. This enabled us to lower the unit price to $19.95. For those of you who appreciate the larger font, I encourage you to purchase a copy from the last of the limited remaining first print copies in our current inventory while supplies last.
As you are all duly aware, shipping costs have increased to such a level making it difficult for everyone to conduct business, not to mention the cost of labor for handling and other logistics. At this time we can only offer this nominal $4.95 shipping and handling cost for a short period of time.
Changes were also made to the cover design of Book One as well. Many of my associates and friends submitted their versions of what the new cover for the second printing of Book One should look like and I found myself choosing the one submitted by my son, Thomas, and his/our friend, Noel Hanna. Thanks guys, I can’t wait to see your proposal for the third printing. Thanks to all of you who submitted designs. I look forward to your future proposals as well.
Thankfully, no customers have requested hardbound cover copies. Hardbound covers would result in a drastic price increase thus alienating some potential readers. We are always concerned about the quality of the paper we use and the quality of the paper used for the cover. We only use the best top quality paper when printing my novels. We do not use recycled paper.
At this time, because we wish to keep the novel within accessibility for everyone to afford, we will chose to keep printing them for now with a softbound cover utilizing the best quality paper in an attempt at maintaining the longest possible shelf-life. In fact, with this, I should mention that all of the libraries (academic, school and public) that have purchased my novel have specifically requested the softbound cover in an attempt to save money. As it turns out, Librarians would rather have their copies bound in hard covers themselves.
I am also quite astounded by the fact that my family, friends, associates, readers and supporters are now considering the first printing of Book One to be a “collector's item” thus increasing its worth. I am very honored and flattered and humbled by this gesture and I sincerely hope they have enjoyed reading my novel as much as I enjoyed its writing. I also wish the same for all of you who will read my novel in the near future. I would like to offer a sincere thanks to all of you for your support and thanks in advance to all of you who plan on reading my novel in the hopeful near future.
I remain grateful and filled with humility, and very thankful to all of you with a most sincere and humble heart,
Tommy Fraga
